When we asked ourselves what we could do for consumers of fresh-cut products, we selected the best vegetables and distributed them under the JENTU brand.
When we asked ourselves what to do for the people who work the products of the earth, a special dialogue was born between Orti di Puglia and each small production company with which we collaborate.
Our direct crops are combined with the supply of some indigenous products, which complete the JENTU offer and satisfy the palate of vegetable lovers. And so we set out to enhance and honor the work of those behind the scenes. Giving a voice to small farmers, especially where they are not represented - and protected - by recognized brands. We are grateful to our lands. They are fertile and served daily by many companies in our area which, without representation, would remain in the shade.
Certain that the final consumer is undeniably important, we realized how essential it is to bring out suppliers. Being alongside small and medium-sized Apulian producers helps them avoid certain market dynamics and price determination which, in the distribution phases, could be unfair or not very congruent with the value of the goods collected. We seek the balance of fair compensation and the serenity of each individual worker.
Our dialogue inevitably starts from the product and its typical features. Every time we build a supply relationship, we discover new business stories and contexts in which they take place. Each production has different organoleptic characteristics of the product and soil, of which we analyze the environment. For some plants, for example, the strengths are represented by the red earth of Salento, by the favorable climatic conditions, by the proximity to the sea, by the sea wind. These give it flavor and texture.
In a roundup that is a source of pride for us, here are the extraordinary co-protagonists of Jentu productions: the fiaschetto tomato of Torre Guaceto.
From the extraordinary countryside of Salento the Galatina Sieglinda Potato, the Moscata Pumpkin, the Chicory Puntarelle, the Caroselli Striati from Lecce, the Round Eggplant, the Yellow Melons and the Watermelons in the Crimson variety, the Zucchini with and without flower, the Sugar Potato.
Some of these products have been awarded the protected designation of origin mark. From the territory of Bari, however, the countryside of Bitonto to be exact, we collect the Chard, the Black Cabbage, the Catalonian Chicory and the Cimata Chicory, the Fennel, the Parsley, the Broccoli, the Cauliflower. Another territory full of character. Our collaborations break the banks and enhance the MADE IN PUGLIA values of unity and flavor. The principle is that each of our products is imbued with freshness and taste and boasts an invaluable characteristic: Respect. Towards those who produce it and towards those who consume it. From Km0 to ten in conduct.
